This is the inside of the main body of the Chapel, it’s been stripped back to its original earth floor.
We found what looked to be a bricked up fireplace on the wall as you come in, however, on closer inspection we saw that was sadly not a possibility. We now think it must have been a recessed shelving – perhaps for bibles? If anyone out there remembers this building from 50 + years ago, we would love to hear from you. We are struggling to find any old records or photographs of how this wonderful building used to look.
