During the half day workshop, you will be able to create both a festive star and a decorative heart, using sustainably grown Somerset willow. The decorations look perfect hung in windows, doorways, or even hanging from a Christmas tree!
No willow work or weaving experience is needed as Jasmine Fassenfelt, local artist and willow sculptor, will guide you through each step, in order to make your own unique stars and hearts to take home.
Due to the fiddly nature of willow weaving it’s not recommended for younger children.
Materials and tools will be provided, however please feel free to bring your own secateurs if you have a favourite pair! Dependant on group size, there may be time towards the end of the session to decorate your creations further with fairy lights/ivy/foraged objects/dried flowers, if you would like to, but please note these extras won’t be included.
