Try your hand at drawing harbour scenes – this workshop would be suitable for anyone interested in developing their drawing/dry media skills – and for the craic.
Subject for the day: Harbours – so boats principally, water probably, lighting effects – essential. We shall be covering composition, viewpoint, selection and simplification of information to leave in/discard, depth of field, tone and colour. Getting stuck in, you will be practising draughtsmanship, mark-making and observational skills.
The day is planned to suit anyone wanting a few pointers for selecting subjects for sketching outside, develop their drawing skills, or as a tool to develop their own representational art.
