Stewart has drawn and painted birds all of his life. His first job was in the Bird House at London Zoo. He has studied and sketched wildlife from around the world during a long career as a conservationist and founder of the Shaldon Wildlife Trust in Devon. He is a member of the East Devon Society of Wildlife Artist and exhibits regularly.

During this one-day class you will be introduced to the diversity of ornithological painting styles. You will have the opportunity to look at and discuss the work of some famous bird painters, from the highly detailed to the most simple.  Stewart will explain bird anatomy, helping you progress your own pictures through getting to know how birds work. You will be able to practice yourself in which ever medium you prefer so bring along pencils, brushes paint, paper etc.
