Gum Arabic transfer printing

This very accessible form of litho printmaking uses photo copies to print from, giving you the change to reproduce a range of printed matter onto different surfaces including fabric, with or without a printing press. You will be taken through each stage of the process step by step, and will make many prints of your own, with a chance to create into a beautiful concertina book if you choose to. We will also cover masking and layering of images and a hand drawn element. All materials are provided, including many images to print from, but if you would like to bring photocopies I will supply more details on booking. Printmaking can be a messy business so please bring an apron or wear old clothes.
