Watercolour for Beginners by Brenda Murphy

Involving all aspects of watercolour painting including value, composition, paint mixing and more! all leading to finished paintings by the end of 6 weeks.

6 week course starting Tuesday the 15th of January, 10am- 1pm, £12.50 per person half to be paid at the start and rest to be paid after three weeks.

Materials:

• Paper: 140lb NOT watercolour paper i.e. Langton or Cotman. Size  9” x “12 Pads or anything you already have. You will need several  pieces for practising.
•Paints: Preferably Tubes. Colours: 2 Blues – 2 reds and 2 yellows. Winsor & Newton. Cotman or Daler Rowney, student quality will do – NOT Watercolour Pans.e.g. Ultramarine Blue – Colbalt Blue – Cadium Red – Burnt Sienna – Yellow Ochre – Cadium Yellow.
• Brushes: 1 size 3 – 1 size 6 – and 1 large wash brush size 10
• A board to work on and a large plastic pallet with good size wells.
• 2b pencil. Putty Rubber –  large jar for water.
• Masking tape – kitchen roll and small towel for the table.
