Work at your own pace on a subject of your choice, or one suggested by the tutor.
we will cover the use of basic materials and methods for the beginner, and offer advise to experienced students.

Selection of artist’s quality watercolours,
Drawing pencil, suggest HB
Small selection of good brushes, (sizes 2,3 & 6, if you need to buy them)
Water pot
Paper towels
Hot pressed WC paper
Tracing paper
Botanical subject of choice (live)

Susan Hillier is an established illustrator and botanical painter, has exhibited widely, and illustrated many books.
She has worked as a scientific illustrator for the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and has painted Orchids for the RHS, from whom she has several medals. Susan is a founder member of the Society of Botanical Artists and a tutor on their
diploma course, she has extensive experience teaching art at all levels.
